ESPN on the ladies

Meanwhile, Iowa State's Lyndsey Medders led Division I in assists per game (7.7) last season, despite playing with a broken foot, which she sustained in late January. She's one of those players I want to call "the toughest dang son-of-a-gun in the league" … except, of course, she's not a "son" and nobody ever says "daughter-of-a-gun." But you know what I mean. She is nails.

Iowa State and Nebraska made the WNIT last season, and they appear to be the top Big 12 North squads this year. But, really, I'm not at all sure how the North teams will shake out.
Let me tell you, Medders was an absolute dynamo last year, get out and see these ladies if you get the chance.

Can we suit these ladies up for the oline?

EIU is the other Okoboji University for serious students and home of Captain Kirk who pilots the Enterprise on its Trek through the Universe for finding his next great job. Captain, beware of your Superbowl.

Re: ESPN on the ladies

I was just reviewing the schedule for men's and women's basketball - trying to find a date where the men and women are playing at home on the same date in a double-header like fashion.

Of course, there is the obvious Mediacom Classic - yet I really don't feel like watching a home game at Wells Fargo.

And then I found one lonely date...

January 13th.

Kansas vs. ISU @ 1pm (men)
OSU vs. ISU @ 7pm (women)

I'm thinking we may go to the men's game, go do some shopping or catch a movie, get some dinner and then go to the women's game.
