Kansas State Tailgating???
Before going to Manhattan, I heard that Kansas State had a comparable tailgating scene to ISU. For the most part they did well, but there was nowhere near the amount of early morning hardcore tailgaters.
We tailgated in what the locals called the "sheep lot." Apparently there are sheep that graze the lots in the offseason. We actually did see a stray sheep in the lot when we first got there! Unreal!
The thing that bothered me most were the not one, but two Nascar flags flown ABOVE their K St flags. I couldn't believe it! If I saw that in Ames I would flip!
Overall a good experience. Nice fans. Just a different scene!

Re: Kansas State Tailgating???
K-State fans were very very hospitable. I really enjoyed tailgating there as well as watching the game, even in the middle of K-State fans!

Re: Kansas State Tailgating???
Yeah I didn't make it to the actual game, but I was visiting friends in Lawrence and Manhattan this weekend, and I didn't catch much hostility wearing my Cyclone sweatshirt around Aggieville most of the day.
I definitely got a lot more attention dressed up for Halloween on Saturday with 9 other Smurfs :)
