No brainer. Take Kansas. Their defense is better than KSU's was and their offense is better than our right now too.

What will really be embarrasing is KU kicking our a**es on Saturday.
It doesn't surprise me that we are underdogs to of all people Kansas U, while playing at home. This is just how LOW that our football program has sunk this year. I stated this morning that beating Kansas Colorado or Mizzou would be a lot tougher than trying to beat a young rebuilding K-State team.Quote:

I believe Mangino's first year at KU was 2002. I recall we smoked them 42-3, or something like that. Look how far we have dropped since then, and they aren't world beaters now or anything, but they have definitely come a long way. It just shows that we have not been able to sustain anything through the McCarney tenure.
We have only beaten the odds 2 times in lasat ten games going back to last season. Not even sure, we beat the odds at all this year. I would almost bet we have not.
ISU has covered against Iowa and Texas this year.

1. Finding your name on the Iowa State Cyclone football roster
2. Having a 1st name of Dan and last name McCarney
3. Having to admit that your an assistant coach for ISU which means your not even good enough to be a head coach on a crappy team
4. Being Barney Cottons wife and having to admit your married to a huge loser
5. Being over 6'2 and weighing roughly 300lbs and playing football like a 5th grade girl
6. Admitting your a ISU football fan. (Isn't it getting embarassing with everyone giving us crap?)
7. Being an ISU O-lineman and looking on the depth chart and seeing your still number 2 behind one of the starters and realizing that you are really bad because you can't start for the worst o-line in the nation!
8. Being Barney Cotton
9. Having a first name Barney. (wow i just realized i could crack jokes about this guy for literally the rest of the night!)
This is just a few things that is more embarassing.

What I think is embarassing is that 10 years ago, a 3 win season would have been outstanding. After this past year of football and basketball, I'm giving up on the men's programs. How about Iowa State volleyball's turnaround or the women's team??? I'm rooting for them instead, hopefully McDermott gives me something to watch.

Kansas came back on Nebraska and had some 400 yards of offense late in the game in Lincoln
-3 is conservative I think KU may kick ISU's behind at home. how about down 14-0 first quarter atleast half. either way ISU wont finish the game
It was pretty lucky we covered both those games. In the Iowa game, Iowa was one bad holding away from the play of covering the spread (that Albert Young TD called back). The Texas game being delayed screwed everything up. I betcha KU whoops us coming off their first win especially with all the injuries ISU has; we might have to put the water boy in there soon.Quote:
