What Area of Improvement is most needed?
I would like to hear from others what they think, based on the players that have returned, what our area of the game needs the most improvement? You can't say the obvious answer of "all of the above". That goes w/ out saying.
1. Outside shooting?
2. Perimeter Defense?
3. Post Defense?
4. Post Offense?
5. Player and/or coach leadership/gamecalling?
6. Other?
From a season ticket holder, I can say that without a doubt it would be post defense. Remember, the qualifier is "with the players we have returning". Well, I distinctly remeber watching Maric from NU drop a 30 spot on us at Hilton. Peeps down in front had pick my strawberry smoothie urp out of their hair, because that post D made me want to puke. All I could hear in my head was my HS coach yelling "ball and Man"!!, as in stay between the ball and your man and don't loose track of them. Hubalek and Marsdens head's about fell off from twisting around to see where the heck the big white dude...wait, he just dunked.
I don't know if the expertise of McD can fix that problem. That seems like junior hoops knowledge to me. I have hope, though.

Re: What Area of Improvement is most needed?
Hard to tell when we haven't even seen this team full of new players play a singe game yet. Without even seeing them play I can bet you that post scoring and defense will need some work with Marsden the only returning player healthy or not suspended right now. He did put on 20-25 pounds I here which should go a long ways as I thought Ross was a quick learner last season and seemed to have the desire to improve his game.

Re: What Area of Improvement is most needed?
I'm not gonna lie, I hated Marsden game the first couple of times I saw him. But as the year wore on, I noticed a couple of good things. He has a solid shot, good selection, and a good bball IQ. By the end of the year I liked him a lot more than Jiri, who appears to be his basketball inverse.

I think you missed one - experience. but we'll have plenty of that by season's end
Chuck Lidell: I paint my toenails with pink and black polish. Problem is, I get more paint on my toes and on the carpet than on my nails. Any advice? Maria Sharapova: Don't you beat up other guys for a living? I don't know how to answer this. -

Any Defense played would be an improvement.

Now the bad.
He usually had poor position on defense, scuffled his feet, and could not rebound or block shots. He was like Slim Willy Keeler trying to cover Goliath under the basket.
Looking forward to CFH magic for the next bball season, Georges style. -

Most of those bad points came from him being only a freshman without the guidance of a good coach to teach him how to fix his problems. Look for lots of improvement out of his game this year, and by the time his senior year rolls around he should look like a solid player.
