Re: Meyer Looking Off Primary Target

I caught Ben Bruns' postgame comments on the way home and he opined that the offense is too simple. I have to admit that I've wondered about BM's IQ; is the offense simplified because he can't handle anything more complicated? Does this explain his seeming lack of ability to go to a secondary receiver or spot the wide-open blown coverage? Does this explain why he chose to run out of bounds four yards short on third & seven rather than take on one d-back?

I was hoping to see Van Winkle in the middle of the third quarter. I'm not making the argument that Kyle's better than BM, but Meyer was obviously off his game today. How many times has a backup come in to beat ISU (or come close) in the past three years? Sometimes you just need a change-up and / or somebody who has incentive to play hard.

    News Bulletin
ISU is 3-7 Meyer has been off his game a while.

home or away? last one I recall was Missouri away. Defense had Brad Smith shut down better than Texas did. Brad Smith went out then theyre backup whooped ISU's ***.

would you be on your game if you were being put on your back as often as meyer is? didn't think so. i feel bad for the guy. the guy takes a beating, and one of these times (especially if he's smart) hel'll stop ticking.

Re: Meyer Looking Off Primary Target

yes in fact I would do my best to get the ball off faster and make damn sure the receivers hit the route.

oline did pretty good against KU. Meyer had happy feet and threw interceptions and took off when he didnt had to instead of focussing on getting the ball off. Meyer has no feel for his position he is out of tune.

excuse got old back in the start of the season. Meyer is a Jr quit making excuses for him. nothing like hearing from the BM apologist and spin artist. just as bad as the Mac apologist and spin artist. why cause BM is Mac's fav even though he cant get the job done. pathetic excuses.
