I am not disagreeing with Jeremy that D.D. is a good player, but you can't compare him to Stinson. We all would love to have Stinson back in uniform right. Granted DD has a pure shot and good ball handling, but no one could take it to the hoop like Stinson, except for maybe Tinsley. Nothing towards Jeremy, but Stinson's one of kind.

I think it was more that he looks like Curtis, minus the headband. He's no Curtis, but he reminded me a bit of him.

Yeah, I'm with CrossCyed. I can see a reflection of Stinson from Dodie. It's blurry, but could easily become a very clear one.

Even though these guys didn't play great tonight, I am really excited to watch them gel because there is a lot of potential out there. Also, I think they really enjoy playing as a team.

As great as Stinson was (and i wish he was back this year), he was not even in the same league as Tinsley.... Tinsley was a winner and wouldn't settle for anything less..... minus the Hampton game.... which is a swear word im my household...

I would take Stinson in a heartbeat his Frosh year, but after that he didn't seem to improve like people hoped he would. It seemed to become more about him after that year, especially his Junior year.

I might have to disagree about Stinson not being in the same league as Tinsley. Yes, Stinson did not improve as much as expected, but he was one heck of a player. And also remember that Tinsley was a transfer, and only played his junior and senior seasons at ISU. If Stinson stayed behind this year, I think he would look a lot like Tinsley did his senior year. That being said, Tinsley is still one of my favorite players, but his campaign ended with a real bad taste in the mouth of myself and fellow Cyclone fans. I guess they both have that in common as well.

dodie is more of a team player than stintson was, stintson had more talent but had a major attitude problem. i remember a game against iona last year where instead of running down to play defense he was chewing out one of the freshman, i think dunson will be better in time than stintson. Maybe not in points but as a true basketball player on the team

I think it's rather difficult to compare the two at this point. Maybe in a year or two comparisons can be made but it's really hard to right now. Stinson was a shoot first pass second type of player and he wasn't even the point guard on the team as blalock was even though stinson did handle the ball a lot. Dodie seems more of a true point guard where it's pass first shoot second type of player and seems more of a better team mate also. I would give anything to have stinson back this year and I'll bet after the NBA draft was over stinson wishes he would have stayed also.

Curtis was a scoring machine, and his freshman year I was tickled to have him. BUT, the guy was not a team player. I am very happy with the young guys we have now. I can't wait for Monday to see them again!

Tinsley would take curtis to school and pack his lunch. As "good" as curt was he was no where near the player tinsley was ball handling wise driving wise shoot wise. most people dont give Tinsley credit for his shooting ability but he was over 40% from behind the arc in big 12 play. It would be a tragedy to even mension curtis in the same. Sentence as Tinsley

I think Tinsley was too fast for Stinson, but Curtis is a bull that Tinsley was not. Dodie has a very long ways to go.
