You don't need to say anymore. Embarrasment is to nice. We have never looked this bad against a team that is as bad as Kansas, expecially in light of how good were supposed to be on paper. I'm burning my cardinal and gold. A disgrace.

Re: What an embarrassment!

Holy Mother of God. I didn't go to the game because of a study-abroad orientation, but I was disappointed I didn't get to go because of what I thought was ISU's chance to right the ship. But this is plain pathetic. This isn't nearly as bad as losing to Baylor last year, because at least then, there was some freaking hope.

Mac has got to go.

Deep within the heart of Iowa, a storm is brewing...
... the winds of change ripple throughout the vast fields of corn surrounding the small college town of Ames.

The Gene Chizik era of football continues, and, with it, a renewed attitude of pride, determination, and success.

This is Cyclone Football.

Re: What an embarrassment!

Come on now, let up. As in "Mac Speech"... we're losing to a real good football team. They have a good defense and they sack the quarterback real good. We have injuries on the offensive so that real good defense is playing real great and we've got to do a better job of coaching. You know Kansas has real great young talent, they are an up and coming team, real great you know. Their quarter back, wow, real good one there. We just have to do a better job of blocking, tackling, coaching here in the fourth quarter.....

Re: What an embarrassment!

POST GAME PRESS CONFERENCE:

COACH MCCARNEY
"We won the special teams battle and that's something we can build upon to win games. We had more return yards on kickoffs than them."

REPORTER
"But Coach, you only kicked off to them twice. Wouldn't you expect to have more return yards than them when you have 8 kickoff returns."

COACH MCCARNEY
"Are kids showed a lot of fire today, and with all of our injuries you can expect not to kickoff very many times."

REPORTER
"You only have to score to kickoff Coach, injuries don't play into it."

COACH MCCARNEY
"Kansas is a tough ranked opponent. It's tough to score on a ranked opponent and this our 8th ranked opponent in a row. You can't expect to win them all."

Re: What an embarrassment!

What do you think Pollard is thinking/ feeling??

I left the game early, but on the bright side I got a cool McDermot Basketball poster at the game. That was my highlite of the game.

JP Can't be happy. I am now thinking there is NO way Mac survives this off-season. JP can't not do something or his reputation as wanting excellence comes into question. Am I right?

Re: What an embarrassment!

I never thought it was possible, but I seriously have the taste in my mouth of wanting to puke while watching a football game. This is awful and if I'm Jamie Pollard, I had my mind made up at halftime regarding next year.
