that literally all we have is to make fun of Iowa for their loss. At least they only lost by 2 td's. We just got sh*tcanned by a BAD team, which probably makes us one of the worst BCS conference teams. If this post just seems stupid, I'm sorry, I'm just blowing off steam, but Iowa's loss doesn't make me feel any better. The only thing that could help me now is a big serving of mac's *** to the curb...

I'll order up another shot of sin, I'm running twice as hard into the wind, I'll hitch a ride when the next one comes in, fell off the wagon again...

The Iowa loss makes me feel slightly better, but as an ISU fan, nothing softens the blow of loosing to Kansas. Who really gives a crap about Iowa.

What a cruel thing to do a fan base, really. Get them all pumped up for an exciting exhibition win, then let them down with a blowout loss to KU. It's the same thing as getting buckets of ice water poured on your head on an excrutiatingly hot day.

Aside from a few outstanding perfomances (Milan Moses), the only entertaining things in this game were the guy cheerleader for KU and the "Bells of Iowa State" comment by the announcer.

kind of funny...Miller predicted an 11-1 or 10-2 Iowa season. Been saying all along that Iowa is over-rated. Guess we're not alone in that department, huh?

Kansas ballcarrier X just heard the Bells of Iowa State after a hard hit by Cyclone Y. Something along those lines. Was one of the highlights of the day.

Did anyone predict 3-9 for us.

Iowa is an average team yet they will still probably end up with 7-8 wins and end up in the Alamo or better. Remember that Mich, and OSU will take up 2 BCS spots. Here is how the Big 10 bowls will shake out IMO based on everyones last 2 games.
1. OSU - 8-0, 12-0 Championship
2. MICH 7-1, 11-1 AT Large BCS
3. WISC 6-2, 10-2 CAP1/OUTBACK
4. PSU 5-3, 8-4 CAP1/OUTBACK
5. Purdue 5-3 ,8-4 Alamo Bowl
6. Iowa 3-5, 7-5 Champs Sportsvs ACC/ Insight.com vs B12
(sneaking out syracuse and N. Ill really helps them.)
Indiana 3-5, 5-7 (if Indiana can beat Michigan at Indiana next Sat. then Indiana becomes bowl eligible and Michigan will lose their at large bid if they lose to OSU also. That would move everyone down a bowl.
IF Indiana wins and then Mich. loses to OSU. This could be the amusing results. Predicting a split for Iowa of Wisconsin and Minny.
1. OSU - 8-0, 12-0 Championship
2. MICH 6-2, 10-1 Cap1
3. WISC 6-2, 10-2 Outback
4. PSU 5-3, 8-4 Alamo
5. Purdue 5-3 ,8-4 Champs Sports
6. Indiana 4-4, 6-6 Insight/Motor city (Indiana beat Iowa and Michigan)
7. Iowa 3-5, 7-5 Motor city/ Insight.com vs B12
I guess in summary, if this would happen and Iowa ended up in Detriot there would be mass suicides going on yet 3-5, 7-5 is a solid season at ISU. Doesn't this suck. Anyway Iowa will actually probably end up winning out and the right teams will lose in the big10 and get Iowa to the Alamo or better again. Whatever...

Unless there are rules to the effect of the bowls being forced to take teams in exact order of finish--and I don't think there are--Insight and Champs Sports will NOT take Indiana or Purdue over Iowa. Face it, Iowa travels well and that's what's important (see Outback bowl from last year).
Then again...who cares about IOWA?!?!? Cheer all you want when they announce Iowa's losing or has lost while sitting there watching our team get get pulverized by Kansas (who knew they had a football team????). Bottom line, cheering when the Hawks lose--especially when we haven't even sniffed a win in our conference--just makes us look like the little brother that their arrogant fans claim we are.
Reminds me of the 1980s. Same fans, same attitude, same inferiority complex....

Lighten up it's not like we're cheering for their bus to crash on the way home. What fun is football without rivalries? You think they don't like seeing us lose? Hell, they booed their own team at Kinnick today. Why do we care what their fans think of us?
I've also noted the irony of you sticking up for the Hawks while referring to their fans as "arrogant".

Why is that ironic? | | |
