Booing

The Hawkeye fans were booing their team repeatedly today. It was really obvious before half time that the fans were soundly booing their team. There were also a lot of empty seats. Have the Hawkeye fans turned on their team?

Re: Booing

They're no better than any other fans in the nation. You'll always have bandwagoners riding the coattails of success.

Deep within the heart of Iowa, a storm is brewing...
... the winds of change ripple throughout the vast fields of corn surrounding the small college town of Ames.

The Gene Chizik era of football continues, and, with it, a renewed attitude of pride, determination, and success.

And they have 6 wins....Imagine if they had our season going on right now.

Exactly. The so-called "great" fan base that Iowa has is no more human than we are.

UNI may be the best team in Iowa at this point.

EIU is the other Okoboji University for serious students and home of Captain Kirk who pilots the Enterprise on its Trek through the Universe for finding his next great job. Captain, beware of your Superbowl.

Even UNI has lost to a couple teams they should not have.

Re: Booing

Easy on the Iowa fans. Once we stop booing our teams in times of distress we can start saying they are bad fans for booing their team. Saying it now is pretty hypocritical if you ask me. Not that anybody did...

Who cares? Go get on a Hawkeye site, they have plenty to wine about.

UNI lost to Iowa State

How embarrasing is that?

Re: Booing

It appears that this once promising season has slipped away from the Hawks as well. And if UNI loses to Western Kentucky, their season is done as well.

All in all it is not a good year to be a fan of any of the state's public universities, at least during football season.

Hopefully the Winter sports will be at least a little kinder to us.

Fooled once, but not twice. Next year is the same.

You can never, ever, ever put UNI on the same level as ISU. Not even close. We would dominate their D2 conference.

Why is it I can't share your confidence?

Oh yeah.....

UNI 27
ISU 28
*Last second field goal miss saved ISU

If UNI was undefeated and pounding their opponents, maybe I'd be with ya. But they're not, so I'm not.

Oh yeah, kinda like we DOMINATED them this year, at home no less! I don't see any reason why they shouldn't be on the same level as us this season. I don't like it either, but it is a fact. WE SUCK!!!

I consider UNI to have had more success than ISU in basketball last season. If we weren't envious of their success, why did we fire Morgan and hire McDermott?
