I have been reading this post, and find it amusing, but also with merit. Probably the one point we all agree on is that ISU football is a huge disappointment, to the point of disgraceful. I left the KU game early, around 41-3, because it was obvious this team has mailed it in. Just like in 2004, they have quit. Coaches, players, assistants, have all mailed it in. As a fan, I find this offensive. I don't expect to beat Texas every year, because of the talent disparity, but I do expect to compete with KU, not get blown out by 40 at home. We have as much talent on our roster as they do, if not more.
To sit idly on our hands and act as if nothing has happened is definitely the wrong thing to do. These coaches are paid an obscene amount of money to coach, and they have let both players and fans down. So how do I show my displeasure? Mailing the tickets back to Pollard is one option. A little harsh for me, but an option. Wearing paper bags is another option.....again, to over the top for me. Emailing Pollard is another option, as is not going to the game period. All methods tell JP we are not happy, and deserve more effort than what we got against KU. He seems to be a smart man, so I think he is getting the message. How you choose to get JP the message of "We deserve better than this after 12 years" is up to you.
I agree. Everyone is entitled to their form of 'protest'. To ***** and moan about what other people choose to do with their tickets is ridiculous.
Some of us aren't content with watching a terrible performance week in and week out. Wasting my entire Saturday each week has just gotten to me. Now I did not mail my tickets in, and I did attend the first half of the KU game, but I am pretty certain I will not be attending the Mizzou game. I would rather be home for Thanksgiving break watching a great Michigan vs tOSU 1 v 2 matchup in HD.
