Can someone (anyone) give me reason for hope for next season?

The more I think about this waste of a season the more depressing it gets. 10 out of 11 back on offense. 4 seniors on the offensive line. 3 wins???? Winless in conference play?

Setting aside the coaching talk for a moment, is there any glimmer of hope for a bowl trip next year? IMO I don't see it, sure losses to UT, OU, @NU, @TT don't leave a lot of margin for error.

Well, with expectations very low, there should be less chance for a let-down. And, any wins we get = icing on the cake.

A new coaching staff that will be able to utilize the talent we have. A team that will be fundamentally sound and able to utilize misdirection and able to execute a screen play without telegraphing it to the opposing defense (we have yet to execute a successful screen in the Cotton era). An offense that will be unpredictable and able to score some freaking points. A defense that will play in your face man to man pass defense instead of the soft 10 yard cushion we now give to opposing offenses.

I honestly think this team has given up. I think a depressed Mac knows the hand writing is on the wall. It's over. When the faithful fans that I know and talk to think it might be best for a coaching change that is NOT GOOD for Mac. I have been a Mac supporter for a long time but now feel after the second disastrous season in the last four years that it is time to move on.

Our new coaches next year probably won't take Blythe out of the game in the red zone.

I really think the reason why you see so many QB draws is because half the time I think it is supposed to be a designed pass play, but the other half of the time the rush gets too close to Meyer and he gets too jittery and takes off.

That maybe the case sometimes, but we still run to many designed QB draws.

I know that I for one am going to be excited to see a RB in there that shows some speed through the holes (or lack thereof). Four years of Stevie dancing and being dropped on 1st contact for a 1 yard gain is more than enough for me.

We can beat UNI more decisively. We can beat Colorado and KSU at home. 5-7.

If you had told me we could not beat KSU and Kansas a month ago and that we would lose by a total of 82-20, I would have said you had rocks in your head. 82-20 is the pits.
