Hello Cyclone Fans, through the first two games so far we look like a fine team. So im going to say we will beat the teams we are suppose to beat and surprise some people in the big 12 and finish either 6th or 7th. Right now are biggest non-conference game is of course UNI and I think the teams to beat in the big 12 are Jayhawks,Aggies and Cowboys and look for us to put major fight up against all of those teams and don't be surprised if we upset one of them take care and go Cyclones.
Um, I would actually insist that Ohio State is our biggest non-conference game.
both of these games are going to be big but what about the iowa game?

I think the only reason the Iowa State-Iowa game might be close is because it is played in Iowa City. I don't see the Hawkeye team to be all that strong this year.
UNI and Ohio State should be the two hardest teams until B12 play.
The UNI game should be very interesting. This year Cyclone Alley will be doing their road trip to the game. Should be a great atmosphere for college basketball.

I like the fact that McDermott only cares about defense (right now)....great D sparks good offense (turnovers into points/easy transitions..ect) we are a little raw, but there is some hidden talent I already see (both johnsons are on the cusp) and I think we will outcoach a lot of times which will gives us an edge. I like our discipline.
Its nice to be optimistic about the season, but right now this team has little to no offense (Wayne State is a bad D-2 team). Granted I love how this team plays and have enjoyed both games this year more than any other game last year, but if we go 15-15 we should be happy and know that the team will be better each game.
Whatever ISU achieves this year can be attributed to coaching because we certainly don't have the recruits that just about every other Big 12 team has.
I'm calling another 16-14 season. I'll take it

I think they'll be solid this year. Its a lot easier to fill guard spots than post spots. They've got a point guard that fits their system (Mckowen), and I think Travis Brown and Adam Viet will be adequate. I'm not sure what other guards they have. Stout and Coleman will be forces inside. I think Egleseder (sp?) will be the key. At the very least, he need to provide a few minutes of sold D to give Stout and Coleman rest. If he can provide some offense as well, he will make them outstanding inside.Quote:
