Wisconsin Assistant coaches
what about the o and d coordinators at Wisconsin? The o coordinator is younger, but the d coordinator (Mike Hankwitz) has a ton of experience in the Big 12 at Colorado, Kansas, Texas A&M. He was interm head coach for Colorado's bowl game a few years ago. He is pretty old at 58 to want to come here though. (I am 27 so that is old )
The o cordinator Paul Chryst doesnt have much Big 12 experience but he is younger and has some pretty good stop off's in Oregon State as the O-Cordinator, Assistant head coach with the San Diego Chargers. His 2 brothers are passionate about football also by looking at where they work, 1 brother is the commisoner of the Mid-American Conference and his other brother is an assistant with the Carolina Panthers.
Not saying JP is getting any talk from Barry...but Wisconsin is on a roll this year and these guys probably have a lot to do with it.

Re: Wisconsin Assistant coaches
IMO: Chryst is our next coach. For many, many reasons.
-keep.

Re: Wisconsin Assistant coaches
Any facts to support that theory on Chryst, or just your gut?
There are many reasons I can see him at ISU, but that doesn't mean he will be.

Re: Wisconsin Assistant coaches
Feels to me like if JP is pulling the trigger before the end of the season, the type of guys he might have off the record discussions with would be those that he has relationships with. Current Wisky assistants and coaches with Wisky ties like Bevell at Minnesota are likely candidates.

Re: Wisconsin Assistant coaches
With Chryst coaching and Moses and Messiah playing how could we lose next year.

Re: Wisconsin Assistant coaches
Well, when you say 'IS' our next coach, it sounds odd.
If you say it's your opinion that he IS our next coach, there is usually reasoning why you have gone from 'is a good candidate' to 'IS', as in 'definite'.
It's like me saying, IMO, Nick Saban is our next coach, for many, many reasons. Doesn't make any sense.

IMO: Chryst could be...
IMO: Chryst should be....
IMO: Chryst can be....
IMO: Chryst might be...
but back to my post: in my opinion, Chryst is our next coach.
There is no inside info, no source; just my very humble opinion.
the many many reasons: current job, past jobs, affordable, asst's connections/jobs, relationship with JP, current and past successes ....

- keep. There are a lot of reasons that you state..but most importantly will be the affordability...JP can structure contract upon success instead of having to be hung out on MACS contract of gauranteed money while trying to build the stadium and facilities. Tickets drive $$, $$ drives success, and $$ will then be distributed instead of paying 1 million a year for 0-6 football.
