On cardinalreport.com it is being reported that the current Stanford coach is out and McCarney is in....Honestly, if this happens, I'm the newest Stanford fan....damn shame what happened to Mac...

I would like to see that. It would be ironic if he can go to Stanford and in a few years he turns the program into an awesome program that beats USC. That would make all of Cyclone nation rethink what happened.

I'd be very happy for Mac. Stanford is a reclamation project at this point, but we all know he's good at that. He deserves anything good that comes his way.

That would be a miraculous turnaround... that team is really bad... I hope he does get the job though. I'll have to start following Stanford...

It wouldn't make me rethink anything. If he gets that job, I think its great and I hope Mac wins a NC while at Stanford. No one deserves success more than Mac. But because great things might happen to him or his teams in the future, I won't be rethinking anything. The Mac\ ISU partnership went as far as it could go. Nothing was going to change that.

Did Mac ever beat Texas or Oklahoma? No way he would beat USC at Stanford...

I hope Mac gets it, and then I can get some Stanford gear to wear around Iowa. I love Iowa State too much to hope that he succeeds while Pollard's vision goes up in flames, so I hope we can have the best of both worlds, and everyone ends up happy. Go after it Mac! | |

Do you think he'd take a job this soon way out on the West coast? It seems pretty important to him to be close to his father.

His father is in a nursing home. I would think that on Mac's pay that he might be able to move his father to an even nicer home on the west coast somewhere
