I believe that Mike Ditka would be an excellent coach... I wonder what we'd have to pay him???

ha ha.. Ditka... yeah, I'm sure our bank roll wouldn't be quite enough.

Today, still wanted by BCS teams, he survives as a coach of fortune. If you have a problem - if no one else can help - and if you can find him- maybe you can hire: Gene Chizik.

This reminds me of the SNL skits... Wish I could find the actual transcripts of the first 2 I typed but you get the picture. :)
"If da Bears entered the Indy 500 in a bus who would win? Is Ditka driving? Of course. We'll then I'd have to say DA BEARS!"
"If da Bears took on a hurricane who would win? DA BEARS! Hold on... the name of the hurricane is hurricane Ditka...." Bill Swerski: Now, gentlemen, let me ask you this: What if Da Bears were all 14 inches tall, you know, about so high? Now, what's your score of today's game? Carl Wollarski: Against Da Giants? Bill Swerski: Yes, give 'em a handicap. Carl Wollarski: Bears 18, Giants 10. And that would finally be a good game. Pat Arnold: Yeah, it would be a good game. Mini Bears 24, Giants 14. Todd O'Conner: What about Ditka? Would he be mini, too? Bill Swerski: No, he would be full-grown. Todd O'Conner: Oh, then, uh.. Mini Bears 31, Giants 7. Carl Wollarski: Oh, hold on. Then I change mine, too. I thought it was Mini Ditka.

Eleventy Billion Dollars...
But we need to make that happen. Season ticket sales, donations, enthusiasm, recruiting etc. would be sky-high.
If JP is truly a god, he will make this happen.
PS. I was just typing the Indy 500 one.
Ditka vs. God...who would win? Ditka...but it would be close.

Mike Ditka could get the recruits! Bobby Stoops would poop his pants seeing him on the other sidelines... and Ditka would kick the _hit out of that idiot ref from Texas who has ripped us off...

I'm sending an email to JP saying that I will pledge $1,000 to the Clones if he hires Iron Mike.

He's gotta have that desire to get into coaching again.

Iowa State football would be the talk of the nation!!! We'd have to build a new stadium to hold all the people... we'd draw people from all over the midwest...
Every kid would want to come and play for Iron Mike!

Ditka is known in the sports world for his gritty approach to winning and a fiery temper. Mike leads by his code word ACE: Attitude, Character and Enthusiasm. Documented Ditka witticisms include: - "Success isn't measured by money or power or social rank. Success is measured by your discipline and inner peace."
- "Attack always."
- "If you're not in the parade, you watch the parade. That's life."
- "You're never a loser until you quit trying."
- "He throws nickels around like manhole covers." – in reference to George Halas during a contract dispute in his playing days.
- "There are teams that are fair-haired, and those that aren't so fair-haired. Some teams are named Smith, some Grabowski. We're Grabowskis!" – A reference to the Bears' blue collar background.
- "It's better to keep your mouth shut and have people wonder if you're stupid than to open your mouth and confirm it." (ESPN, 2006)

Does this 'rumor' have any merit at all?
