Web Broadcast

ISU has managed to make webcasts available to out-of-state fans. The broadcast is blocked to in-state fans who must go to the game or watch on mediacom. This weekend's games are on. Maybe if there is enough interest they'll carry all the games.

OK. Has anyone tried to do this? It says you need to create an account. It tells me that it can't create that account when I go through everything. Anyone else having trouble?

I am going through the same thing CyinCo. I did everything and then it said it couldn't do it.

I noticed that when I go to the Live Events site, it shows the MBB game as being there but, since the game hasn't started the link isn't there yet. Do you think it will just show up? If so, how are the preventing in-staters from viewing. Seems to me the account thing needs to work.

The link will show up when the game starts. I watched the game Monday on it.

Wierd, now the headline is gone from Cyclones.com stating there will be a webcast.

yeah, so did I but how are they going to block in-staters from viewing the live feed?

I don't think it would be hard for them to compare your IP address to a list of valid Iowa IP addresses.

Ok CyinCo I am glad you noticed it was gone too; I thought I was loosing it. I'm guessing there were too many problems with it and they just took it down and probably won't show it.

I emailed Customer Care at Cyclones.com: http://www.cyclones.com/CreateTicket...B_OEM_ID=10700

and chose "TECHNICAL SUPPORT" as my area of interest. I got an email back and they told me it is working now. Hope this works...

Cool, it let me create an account now. Looks like it will work. I hope the audio is better than it has been.

The only problem I had with the registration is that it requires the users telephone number be input. Telephone service is not available where I live

I live in IA and got the same blackout message stating I couldn't view the webcast. I have DirecTV so I can't see the game on Mediacom. I changed my profile from IA to IL and it's working fine now. As for phone number, just make one up. Audio seems a bit better than the other games.

Can't you order the ESPN Full Court package and get the game?
