Hawkeye FB Coaching Changes
There are more and more threads popping up on the Hawkeye message boards questioning whether coaching changes need to be made; some are suggesting that KF needs to go
-
Re: Hawkeye FB Coaching Changes
I don't think there is a chance the KF is fired... But they might make a move with a cordinator..

Re: Hawkeye FB Coaching Changes
It is all reactionary to the high expectations that fans had before the season (sound familiar??). The problem is that their defense never blitzes, and as slow and bad as their d-backs are, they are going to get picked apart.
They play up to, or down to the level of the teams that they play. The big thing is that they are losing the close games that they have won over the past few years.

2-5 in the Little 11. A most pleasant turn of events indeed.
I don't know if any of you watched the game, but Taint looked horrible.

Re: Hawkeye FB Coaching Changes
Tate is a huge nutjob! Did anyone else see him spaz on that cornerback while he was walking to the sidelines?

Re: Hawkeye FB Coaching Changes
They are 7th in the conference right now, which it turns out is good enough for them to go to the Sugar Bowl.

Re: Hawkeye FB Coaching Changes
Tate is a headcase and always has been. But there is NO WAY Kirk Ferentz gets the boot. If they do that is probably the dumbest move in the history of college football. As much as I HATE saying good things about Iowa; Ferentz is great coach. At least they are still going to a bowl, we can't score more than 10 points a game or give up less than 25.

Re: Hawkeye FB Coaching Changes
The prevailing sentiment is that at a minimum a new defensive coordinator is needed, and most want DMac to fill the position

Re: Hawkeye FB Coaching Changes
No doubt Kirk is a great coach, they are just having an average year.... Next year they should have a good record, they don't play OSU or Mich!! What an easy to schedule!

Re: Hawkeye FB Coaching Changes
I would love for Hawkeye fans call for Kirk's Head, Jamie Pollard would snap him up in a NY second. Can you imagine if the papers/internet leaked out that JP was in Iowa City...Hawkeye fans would poop their pants...HILARIOUS......HITMAN

Re: Hawkeye FB Coaching Changes
I don't see the Hawks making any changes whatsoever. It's just a reaction to a whole bunch of inflated expectations. Their D coordinator is dealing with the loss of a couple great linebackers and a very good corner. -
Re: Hawkeye FB Coaching Changes
Kirk is paid too much for mediocrity. Northwestern amnd Indiana are like our Kansas and Colorado.
Looking forward to CFH magic for the next bball season, Georges style.
