Denver Post article about ISU coaching vacancy

I found it interesting that there's a new name I hadn't seen before (emphasized in red). I also appreciate the honesty of the critique of the season, rarely seen in news coverage these days.
"Hovering near the top of Iowa State's wish list is Broncos tight ends coach Tim Brewster, who assisted for nine years at North Carolina and four at Texas. The Des Moines Register also listed Wisconsin offensive coordinator Paul Chryst and Central Michigan head coach Brian Kelly.
That list also included Tulsa head coach Steve Kragthorpe; Arizona Cardinals offensive line coach Steve Loney, an Iowa native and Cyclone offensive lineman in 1973; Nebraska offensive coordinator Jay Norvell; San Diego State defensive coordinator Bob Elliott, formerly of Kansas State; and Pittsburgh Panthers defensive coordinator Paul Rhoads, a Cyclone assistant from 1995-99."
Re: Denver Post article about ISU coaching vacancy
I am interested on the surface in Brewster, Paul Rhodes, and Brian Kelly. Pay me and I may like the other candidates. Heard that Pelini will not get MSU job. He may be in the mix after all. He is getting older - pushing fortyish.
Re: Denver Post article about ISU coaching vacancy
I was at LSU over the weekend for the LSU-Bama game. I have a family connection that is close to the football team. I was able to tour their new football operations building (awesome to say the least). As we were heading up to it, Bo Pelini was outside stretching. We went up and chatted with him for a minute or so. Was DYING to say something about the ISU job, but I figured that would be tacky so I kept my mouth shut. He was going for a 5 mile run.
Seemed like a great guy and if his time at LSU would give us access to any of the SEC type athletes, I'm all for it, but I highly doubt we will name him as next coach. I really think that he thinks he deserves a "big time" job.
