Here is a sickening thought....if michigan and OSU played a rematch in the BCS championship...how good of a bowl could the squawks fall into....new years day?!?! UGH...
Yes! the suger bowl is absolutly drooling over their impressive conferance record. "They may be the best 2-6 team in the Big Twelve," one official comented. "We would be thrilled to hoast a heisman candidate like Drew Tate."
The other thing that sucks to think about, guys? If ISU had managed to pull out that win in Kinnick, Iowa wouldn't be going to a bowl this year....in Tater Tot's senior year. We would also have the same overall record. *sigh*
Six wins gets you a bowl in this day and age. If we had six we'd be going. It's all hunkey dorey to be blasting them for going, but that's the rules. Alamo will take them because they take numbers with them everywhere. They get a months worth of practice which will pay off in spades for them and their young players, which is what bothers me more than anything. The only thing worse is if they do end up playing a Big 12 team and they spank them--maybe Missouri or KSU--and we'll have to listen to sqwuak fans bragging about "owning the Big 12 North."

Sorry to tell ya, but Iowa's opponent is gonna be aTm Aggies and they will fill the alamodome with Aggie fans.
I completely understand the rules and I am for them. My beef is....If you suck then you should go to a sucky bowl. But I do know exactly what is going to happen. They will go down to play A&M as a "shouldn't be there" underdog. The team gets told that by the media about 50 times, then they come out and blast A&M by 20 Points. I could see that happening.
