was the most fun I've had at a game in quite a while. The game itself was plenty exciting. Right after we made the 4th down stop, I bolted for the isle and down to the cement wall, ready to storm the field. When there were those 4 seconds left, the per mar guy told me we had to wait until the clock hit zero, and the cop that was down there told me we couldn't come down at all. When the clock hit zero, I was over that wall and towards the field. The cop tried to wrap me up, but it wasn't happening. My friend told me he seriously thought I was going to get arrested, but I think that was a bit of an over-statement, considering all the people that followed me.
You can't say enough about the character of Coach Mac and a lot of the seniors on this team. I'm sure a lot of you read my letter to Mac that I posted, so I won't rehash that. But what impressed me the most of all today was what Austin Flynn did after the game. He was standing on the field with his girlfriend at his side, shaking hands and thanking everybody that came up to him. I went up to him, shook his hand, and said thankyou for all the years he has given us, and he said, "No, thank YOU."
I realize it was probably time for a change, but I will forever be indebted to Coach Mac for the memories and what he as brought to this program. I 'm glad he was able to go out with a great win....

It was a great way to end it for Mac. He's one class act, and it certainly has effected young men like Austin Flynn. It was a great day for Cyclone Football.

Wow, that story about Austin Flynn is great. Now I REALLY wish I could'e gone to the game today. :(

It was cool. He was on that field long after the team was inside. He was the most awesome guy today. He did exactly as explained above for every person that came by. And when he finally went it, everyone cheered just for him. What a thing to see.
I do have a pic of him standing there with his girlfriend and shaking hands. its was just a great thing.

Man that stinks, I was so happy we won and just sat in my seat watching all the activity on the field and never saw Flynn down there. I would have loved to go tell him what kind of player he is for putting team first when he lost his starting job as QB and played very well as reciever and whatever else he attempted. I wished I hit the field too now.....
