I've heard both Price & Solich's names mentioned by the media as potential candidates for the
ISU job. I just can't see it if
JP is doing the hiring. Price has too much baggage after his stint at Bama & Solich's record was only part of the reason he got canned at Nebraska. Personal issues played a part also. Plus since he's gone to Ohio he got an DWI.
A name I haven't heard mentioned is Gary Barnett. I lived in Colorado and the rape scandal racked that program during his last couple years. However, I'm not sure how much that was caused by Barnett's lack of oversight. IMO it was a result of the culture that exists at CU university wide and within the Boulder community.
Did Barnett have a bad reputation while he was at Northwestern? If
ISU is looking for a coach with a name and has been a proven winnner- it seems to me that Barnett would be a much better choice than Solich or Price.
