Actually, I have absolutely no sources but a buddy at a tailgate today said he had received an e-mail saying that Mike Sherman would be announced as the new coach on Monday. I suppose that would explain the Dallas interviews.
I really doubt this will happen. It makes no sense that Sherman would take a college job.

Did anyone see/talk to JP at the game today? It's been rumored that he once again told people not to believe everything you read in the paper. It seems to hint there is a candidate JP is looking at that the media has not picked up on.
I would love to see Harbaugh, but I have a feeling Harbaugh=Jeter and there is another candidate such as Kragthorpe or Sherman as listed above.

If they are gonna try and do it big like they did with McDermott, I'd be surprised if they did it while class was not in session.

I have seen Shermans name in a few papers...if we shouldn't believe everything in the papers, should we assume that he isn't the next coach either? If that is the case...who is it?
I still think that JP will either go big or go home.

Mike Sherman is the new head coach at Iowa State. Announcement it set for 2 p.m. Monday afternoon at a press conference. He will assume the position immediately and will resign his position for the Houston Texans. He was a third candidate that was interviewed in Dallas. Guess there was a wild card after all

Mike Sherman had better get some asistant coaches who can recruit. Harbaugh and Brewster relate better to players IMO. SAherman was squeezed out at Green Bay where the other two were not. Bill Callahan was squeezed out at Oakland. Basically, they both failed in the pros in the end.

Basically, they both failed in the pros in the end. I don't know if Sherman is our next coach, or how good a job he would do. But there was a fellow named Pete Carrol who failed in the NFL too. Just because you didn't make it in the NFL doesn't make you a bad coach.

he does have TX ties with his time at aTm. Hopefully that will help if he is indeed the guy. Maybe he can bribg in Brewster as an OC. That guy needs to add something to his resume beyond TE coach.
Thats wishful thinking.
