The paidd attendance was somewhere around 39,000. I'm not sure how much lower the actual attendance was.

The actual attendence was the lowest it's been all year. I arrived during senior introductions (less than 5 minutes before kickoff) and found plenty of room in the front row of the upper deck. The lower deck of the student section was not even full (the Thanksgiving break probably didn't help attendance). There was not a soul to be seen near the corners of the stadium. I'd be very surprised if there were more than 30k there; 25k is probably a fairly good estimate.

I would estimate 35,000 in attendance.
| Chizik: "One thing that I’d encourage our fans… I want them to be the loudest stadium in the Big 12. I don’t care… I want Jack Trice stadium to be the loudest in the Big 12 and I think that creates homefield advantage.... I want to stress to everyone…I want this place to be juiced up. They bought 36,000 season tickets so there is a passion there…don’t hide it… let it out. I want there to be a passion in the stadium."

On the bright side: it was the most fans we've had at the END of any conference game we've played this year (except maybe the Nebraska game).
