I love ken pomeroy's site, and you'll see me using stats from his site a lot when I start doing breakdowns. He really doesn't have much to say for us, because we have so few returning players and the system will be so much different from last year it's almost impossible to predict things statistically for this team.
There is a funny note about Marsden in there, and also an interesting note about our backcourt which I think some people will find compelling.
Pythagorean Winning %???? Do I have to do Math??? I think I'll just wait for you to post what this site has to say.
Thanks for the link, very insightful.
"If you can't hear me, it's because I'm in parentheses."
You should check out the stuff later in the season as well, when Pomeroy gets the chance to have a bigger statistical pool to draw from. By the time conference play gets started his site is an absolute goldmine for great stats.
Basically, how most of his stuff works, is that he calculates stats based on the number of possessions each team has, so it essentially factors out the speed a team plays at. He calls the speed Tempo, which is the number of possessions in a game. All his stats stem from that, and if you're a total stat dork like I am, you'll love it. And really, I have no relation to this site at all, I just think he does a great job.
