Are John Tjaden & Bastian Schober gone???

2 back-up OL that were introduced as Seniors Saturday, they are both RS Juniors and would have 1 more year of eligibility left if they wanted to. My guess is they are gone leaving us in even a larger need for OL. They may not have the talent we are looking for but that will leave the new coach with even less warm bodies to work with. Last year I was surprised when Korey and Kyle Smith left with a year of eligibility left. Nobody missed them but after Berryman got the boot I would guess the Smith that played DE would have been in the rotation and perhap R Parker would have taken a RS.

To ensure no speculation about them leaving early, I had heard from a reliable source very early in the season they were going to be leaving, nothing to do with Mac.

Well that's surprising, I thought those guys would both be starters at least during spring ball. So who do you guys think will step up and be starters in the spring before hopefully a plethera of o-line recruits come in?

If both those guys leave, does that leave only Schmeling (gray shirt) out of all those OL signed in that class? (while Fine was here). It would definitely explain a lot of our OL woes.

Who is Mike Knapp? True freshman this season? Where did he come from?

I guess some people have more important things than football and have their priorities straight. This is a good thing, but you wait four years to play and just leave when you have a chance to get on the field next year.

Walk-on from Valley. I think he has been here 2 years.

You are right these guys should be praised for getting their degrees in 4 years. A free education would really be sweet, no student loan to pay off for the rest of your life.

As stated above, They may not have the talent we are looking for but that will leave the new coach with even less warm bodies to work with. We better hope that there are a lot of quality JC OL left out there for the next 2 seasons.
