In a different thread I brought up the "punter with mental toughness" joke. But then I remembered Saturday and that killer punt Brandtner had. The bomb he let go that just died at the 5 or 10 yard line. It was like he was playing darts with a football. On the year he averaged 41.23 yards per punt. IMO, not bad for a freshman - one that got better as the year grew older.
Again, I'll agree. In the Texas Tech game he was our ONLY offense. I think he'll have a great future at ISU.

What kind of awards are there for punters? Pk's have the Groza, but that doesn't cover Punters does it?
Mike's long on the season was a 73 yard spanking of a football at Oklahoma.
Screw it, I'm going bold...headline in two years: "ISU punter gets Heisman" ok maybe not, but he was huge in helping us win saturday
Remember that stressed spelled backwards is desserts! "The New England Patriots: As annoying as the Yankess, just with 23 fewer titles."

I know he had a few 20 yarders in there. He is averaging more yards per punt than a few NFL punters...as a freshman.

He was 1/1 for 28 yards passing this year with a 335.2 quarterback rating...
Ray Guy - gotta love those Raiders!

That's gotta hurt...
Isnt he a walkon also. the sad part is that he wont be gettign a schollie for another year unless the new coach decides to take one of the schollies for next years class and give it to him.
Poke the trash - then in the bag. Poke the trash - doh.
I'm not sure if he walked on or not. I know he's a redshirt freshman though...soon to be a reshirt sophomore.
