Marty & Miller claim for new coach:

I have the misfortune of listening to the opening segment of Marty & Miller and Marty claims he was at McCarney's party after the game and claims to have talked to a big donor Dentist who gave him the scoop that Jay Norvell IS OUR next coach....... Whatta y'all think of that scoop??????

If true, and I have my doubts, it would be a huge mistake. Just a take quick poll on this board as a respresentation of the general fanbase. We are tired of the Hawk and Husker connections. I don't care if he coached at ISU before. That would be my LAST choice of the options I've heard.

The only reason I beleive this is a possibility is that most coaches do not admit that they interviewed for a job at another University. Callahan announced today that Norvell interviewed for the job.

Anything is possible. Although, remember, JP is probably trying to appease all of his "big" donors by giving interviews. (Making the big donors feel like they're part of the process). JP will get the right guy.

With a mouth like Marty's, it's not suprising he knows a few dentists. The real question is, does he shut up long enough for his teeth to be worked on?
