Do you think JP reads or has someone in his office read these boards and polls. There is no way he can hire Norvell with this kind of support.

I've been on record for Harbaugh, but I'd also take Patterson, Kragthorpe, or Price.

I just am not sold on Norvell.

Re: Who do you want to be ISU's football coach?

I have a feeling that whoever it is, 75% of the fan base will doubt the decision. As soon as he lands a monster recruit, most of those doubters will come around and start to get really excited in the offseason and really back the new HC, while others wait for results on the field until they really start to support. As far as the other 25%, lets say about 12.5% are happy with the hire, while the other 12.5% will b!tch and moan no matter what.

If this is the case, with some of the names "floating" around, I would liken it more to letting a small fart go at church to see if anyone notices, before letting go with the full blast.

Krags or Norvell. Maybe not the sexy pick, but who cares. Winning and long term stability will sell tickets.

Re: Who do you want to be ISU's football coach?

Seems like the fanatics have a pretty clear favorite and second favorite here (Harbaugh and Kragthorpe). After months of division over Dan McCarney's status, I certainly hope it ends up being one of these two or Patterson. Norvell certainly doesn't seem to have much support.

Re: Who do you want to be ISU's football coach?

Im acctually kind of shocked the Norvell does not have much support. Although he is not my first choice, he is in my top 3 or 4. But Jermey did say a few day ago that we were offering a starting contract that was more then Mccarney ever had, so something is telling me we could all be very surprised at who the next coach at ISU is, because I dont think any of the people on this list or big enough names to start out making more the McCarney ever did!

I agree Chuck. Maybe it is Patterson. His record at TCU would allow him to demand that kind of salary.
