I think with the month to get everyone healthy, and solve the internal problems with the team, they'll have a great chance to beat whoever they play.

NO WAY!!! how do you even rationalize the thought Tech will get the 4th best bowl in the big 12??????? Like I said b4, they will play Texas A&M unless Nebraska win the Big 12 Championship. They will play either A&M or Missouri, no way Tech makes the Alamo Bowl!

Face it guys, while this is silly, we'd take the same bowl bid if the shoe was on the other foot. Sure, many of us would think it's foolish (as do many Hawk fans), yet we'd take the gift with a smile.

This is not Iowa's fault. It's not their fan's fault...nor anyone in Iowa City.

This is a problem with the system, a pretty significant one. Over half of the teams in football are going to a bowl game this year. Pathetic!

But remember, we did reap the benefits of this silly system a time or two. I didn't hear any complaints by Cyclone fans then.

What a joke-keep in mind, the hawks are about two plays from even being bowl eligible (syracuse) and have exactly one more conference win than an awful ISU team-yet they go to the Alamo Bowl? Once again Hawks-thank your fans, not your team, for the bowl you are going to (see also: last year)

Iowa doesn't even DESERVE a bowl game this year. Good thing it's Alamo bowl. Big XII vs Big Ten. Go Big XII!

Missouri perhaps?

On one hand, I want Iowa to play Missouri, just because we beat them. On the other hand, I want Iowa to play Texas A&M, because A&M has a pretty solid team this year, and probably has a better chance to beat Iowa.

Ya know, I don't have a problem with Iowa going to the 5th pick in the Big 10, but in my opinion, it just shows how awful the conference is this year. Yes, I know that Ohio St. and Michigan are great, but the rest of the conference is just easy pickin this year. Just my opinion.

Well, since the Big 10 is taking 2 BCS teams, them did ultimetly get the 6th pick in the big 10 out of the 7 bowl eligible teams. It just feel in place for them pretty well, but if ISU went 6-6 and fell into a situation like this, I would be exstatic, as would all of you!
