Re: Wayne Morgan
Funny that you mention this. I actually saw Morgan at the East Ames Hy-Vee today. It was pretty ironic that I also saw Barney Cotton in there too today. I wonder if they are having a coaches job search in town today (sarcasm).

Re: Wayne Morgan
Let's just enjoy the win guys without wondering or taking glee in speculation that Wayne Morgan may or may not be getting sick to his stomach. If he was watching, I bet he took some pride in seeing kids he coached like Grey and Clark come up with some big shots and big moments.

LOL, I sure he really was, but at the same time, I think he has it out for Pollard and McDermott to make his firing turn out to be unsucessful. He flirted with that thought about 3/4 of the way through the game, and we showed something that a Morgan team could of never done! I have a feeling he was anxious to see us fail tonight, thought we would, and was sick to see us come back and win!

Re: Wayne Morgan
Did anyone notice Clark did not sit out this game? That shows tremendous endurance and dedication
Remember that stressed spelled backwards is desserts!

Re: Wayne Morgan
Rashon is the leader and the heart and soul of this team. Even though so far this season, he has not scored alot of points but he has done the little things right to help this team win and grow together. I can not wait to see this team play in Feburary, we are going to be scary good.

Re: Wayne Morgan
I am sure he enjoyed the game, but might have to "review the tape" before he comments publicly.

Re: Wayne Morgan
Let's just leave Wayne Morgan alone. He is a good person. He was well liked by fans who know him and loved by his players. He might have been too good to his players, and that interfered with his ability to put a winning progam on the floor. But that doesn't give a bunch of drunken college students carte blanche to ridicule him.

One who dislikes the young ones because of their rowdy partying...
The "drunken college students" have just as much right to ridicule him than you have to stand up for him.

Re: Wayne Morgan
I agree with him, people were running from this job, nobody wanted it, Wayne took over and had two very successful seasons when nobody expected it. Maybe he isn't a long term solution, but he was a good guy, and he did show class in his press conference and firing, never heard one bad thing out of him. Not sure why the hatred for Wayne, he had a bad season, but did nothing to deserve the disrespect he gets.

Not sure why the hatred for Wayne, he had a bad season, but did nothing to deserve the disrespect he gets. Well that was because Van De Velde scared everyone he interviewed off. You can be damn sure that if Pollard would of been there at the time, Morgan would of NEVER been here. He was nice to his players and all, but you ask anyone who was behind the scences while he was here, and he was a mediocore coach/person at best! The only reaosn he showed any bit of success the first 2 years he was here is becuase he had Eustacheys leftovers in Homan(first 2 years), as well as Sullivan and Vroman (first year) who were thought leaders by Eustachey. Once they all left, we showed absolutley ZERO leadership! I respect Morgan cause he was a classy guy, but he never deserved to be our coach and it was for the better he was let go.
What I was trying to point out when I started this thread was Morgan and McDermott were not fans of each other, that was very evident. Morgan also felt that he should not of been, and it was unfair that he was fired. Put those 2 factors together, and I guarentee he would love to watch ISU fail with the McDermott hiring. If he watched that game last night, he would of saw that Minnesota had the game in the bag, a game in which we started out very strong. When we came back and won and showed something that NONE of his, and by his I mean players recruited by him and his staff, teams would of ever been able to do!
