I dont know who it is but i trust that if McDermott wants this guy then he is going to be a good addition regardless of ratings. He doesnt need a name...just the desire to play cyclone basketball.
****** or Brasky would be a good addition too :D
[/quote1146890323]
yes mcd is is the messiah, if he is in on a huy he must be the bestest hardest working guy on the planet, and he will be proud to be a cyclone. Just like honacheck(refuses to return), hoiberg(didnt come back for most pathetic reunion of all time last year; edwards and holliday... wow), meyer (see hoiberg), cato, fizer and tinsley!!!!!
Let the bid to become the newest conf. USA team begin -
There are some who post here that consider them selves "born again Christians," myself included. We believe that Jesus ****** is the promised messiah, the Son of God. To us it is very offensive and insulting to have our Savior refered in such a degrading and blaphemous manner. Christians are the one group that is fair game for any type of ridicule or discrimination that the public and media chooses. Carry on.
-
Totaly agree, I was really offended and I considering if I want to view a site that allows put down of others and their beliefs. The posts were not cute or brash or funny. The posts were very degrading and show a total lack of concern for others!
-
You two need to relax.... Those posts are not serious..... There has to be more for you to worry about
-
There are some of us on this site that consider ourselves "Bill Braskyists" who believe Bill Brasky is the second coming. (Could anyone but the messiah drink two gallons of antifreeze and not get sick?) So please don't mock Bill Brasky.
All hail Bill Brasky!
(P.S. - I too am a Christian and am in no way offended by the previous posts. I did not read any malice in those posts toward Jesus ****** nor toward Christians.)

Re: Mystery Recruit
I don't really feel the need to defend myself, but I was not trying to offend when I mentioned "Jesus H. ******" as the possible mystery recruit.
I was merely making light on the fact that everyone that was posting previous to that was really building up this "mystery recruit." And the greatest figure I could think of was Jesus ******. Besides don't you think God has a sense of humor-Look what he keeps doing to cyclone fans at the end of each football season.
To tell you the truth I feel a little offended that you said that what was said offended you, but being a strong christian myself I forgive you for offending me. Really it are christians that always act holier-than-though that brings ridicule to the faith-I think Jesus would preach tolerance.

Re: Mystery Recruit
Yeah, I'm Catholic myself, and I didn't find it offensive.. a little humorous actually... as long as we all agree, when the game's on the line, we're giving him the ball lol.
-
Re: Mystery Recruit
As a born-again believer, I knew the post was made in jest. In no way, was there any context to defame ******'s name or image.
Enjoy humor - it's from God afterall!

Re: Mystery Recruit
I do think ****** would be a good addition to our basketball program!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
Re: Mystery Recruit
The 3rd page of this thread is hilarious by the way.
Think of this lineup for next year:
Rahshon Clark
Will Blaylock
Bill Brasky
Jesus H. ******
Chuck Norris
And if Morgan was coaching them, they would still finish 7th in the Big 12.

Re: Mystery Recruit
This is probably not the place for a discussion about religion. And anything I say will be considered "holier-than-thou". Nevertheless, I still take offense when you: 1.Take the Lord in vain. 2.Reduce Him to a basketball recruit. 3.Consider Him something you can use for personal gain. And to top it all you defend yourselves using contemporary standards of humor and no absolutes i.e. there is no such thing as right or wrong. I assume you also found the "da vinci Code" entertaining, enlightening, and "food for thought."

Re: Mystery Recruit
I'm with you oldgeezer, but I don't think ****** would be surprised.
-
Re: Mystery Recruit
oldgeezer - try not to stereotype or lump everyone together when you post. I'm in full agreement with you about respecting the name of ****** and avoiding blasphemy as well as moral absolutes. But this was just a harmless joke. There was no malicious attack on Christianity in these posts. I am secure in my faith and enjoyed the humor... (And I think The DaVinci Code is a farce)

Stupidest posts yet
Drop the religious comments. I hear and see enough arguements caused by religion on the news every night. I don't need to come here and read about the crap too. Please take it elsewhere.

Re: Mystery Recruit
As a religious, God fearing, man I don't see how you can be offended by what is obviously not a malicious attack on Christianity. However, your opinion is every bit as important as the next guy/gal so i hope it isn't completely dismissed. I know that being preached to on a message board isn't high on most people's list either.
