Why is being reported Kelly is scheduled to interview on Saturday with Geoffery and Pollard???

The "other" sites indicate that Pollard has an interview today?

Seems like a lot of interviews if a Coach has been hired. Does anyone on have information regarding the situation other than Ditka, Elway, Alverez which we all SHOULD know are not coming to Iowa State.

Is Sherman still a possibility?

Because of the server change I feel as though I am 2 days behind, but it would appear that I haven't really missed anything.

i agree - if Pollard was confident enough about someone to already tell Harbaugh/Norvell that they are off the list, why are they still scheduling interviews? I thought the guy was in the bag. This is kinda making me nervous.

Yeah, I read Kelly was having another interview on Saturday. I'm not to excited about that guy.

This could simply be a courtesy interview if the process is indeed done.

I think JP is losing a little momentum with this hire. Although, it's probably not as easy of a selection as the bball hire. More complicated process. I still can't believe no one has an info from their "sources" yet to post. Ah well.

If the process is done, you don't do courtesy interviews. You pick up the phone.

Kelly does not excite or interest me AT ALL. The only Kelly I want to see coach ISU is Jim Kelly, the former Buffalo Bills QB :yes4lo:

I agree we don't give courtesy interviews.
My take is that it seems from all media outlets that interviews where done out of state.
This could be a chance for the coach to tour the facilities and for the President to be introduced.

I agree. I'm not reading much into the Geoffrey inteview. Pollard found his guy and Geoffrey gets a look.

I personally don't feel like anyone has been signed yet. I don't have any proof, but from what everyone is saying on these boards and the constant reports of people being interviewed, I just don't think it has happened yet. JP is usually full of surprises though. However, I do have a strange feeling that this hire might be as anti-climatic as the plot in Borat when it's all said and done because of all the hype we've put into it and the names that have been thrown around. But that's the fun part. I just hope we find a coach that will do well at Iowa State. I don't care about his name, I just want results. And I guess I just have to trust JP will bring that guy in.

It could be that during the interviews, it became clear that Harbaugh and Norvell wouldn't fit at ISU. No use to keep them hangin' if ADJP has decided that they aren't going to be hired.

After all this "excitement" going around with the interview process I think I'm just going to take the slow lane on this issue and wait until something "official" is announced instead of relying on rumors. We've heard both Harbaugh and Norvell were "locks" at one point and both were told they were out of the running so if that doesn't tell you how quiet JP is keeping on this then I don't know what else you need other than a smack upside the head.

Have faith in JP. I don't want him rushing to make a hire just to settle down the Cyclone nation. I could wait for 2 more weeks for a hire if I had to if it means hiring the right guy over just shutting up all the rumors and impatient fans with a quick hire.
