Sorry I can't help it. The broadcasters this year are horrible. The one idiot needs to know there is an audience out there AND THEY ARE NOT NAMED BJ !!!! BJ finally called the other guy by his name. Jim. That makes 10,000 to 1 and we are only 6 games into the season.

Does this bug anyone else. I would like to use the Mute button what I really need is a BJ filter. YUCK.

Ah BJ is pretty decent given the right circumstances. I think he's done a lot women's ball on the radio, and some sideline stuff with the primary announcers. Hallihan on the other hand struggles, but he's an old coach, not an announcer. That's what you are going to get when mediacom is putting it on tv basically as good will for iowa and not to sell big advertisement dollars. Mute it and turn the radio on.

I honestly think they do a decent enough job. I appreciate the older guy's experience and his "coaches" point of view on things. BJ has never impressed me but he's got a good voice and seems to care about Iowa State atleast.

I thought John Walters was medicore at best when he first started but I'm a big fan of him now on the radio.

BJ used to do my HS games and was great...he does a great job, the color guys are horrible....lets just say im happy i was at the game and didn't have to hear commentating

Thanks for the BJ quotes. Didn't think about that and it was entertaining. Yes, any BJ is a good BJ. But what I was commenting on was the other commentor guy (Jim) who says .... something happened, BJ. BJ. BJ. BJ. BJ ... about a 100 times every game. Its getting old. Really, really, really old. And we are only a few games into the season. Can we request that Jim be reassigned or told not to utter the phrase "BJ"?

I think Halihan is alright myself. He's certainly no Gary Thompson, but then again, no one is. I did get a little tired of his old Johnny Orr stories last night though.

I'm down in Florida, so I honestly don't know; is Channel 5 no longer carrying the Iowa State basketball coverage? That would be a shame if they're not. I can't say I'm a huge Mediacom fan from what I've seen on ESPN FullCourt. Their production values seem to be sub-standard. I think Channel 5 just had more of a professional look to their broadcasts.

No, WOI channel 5 is still carrying games, it's just the Mediacom has picked up some of the load also. Anybody commentating is better than that schmuck we had last year. Can't remember his name he said "wow" all the time.

I was happy to have ESPN Full Court package here in New Mexico, but the announcers SUCK! Next Mediacom game I get the sound goes off and internet or Sirius Radio sound feed goes on. BJ and Halihian SUCK! end of discussion here, when you pay what I pay for Cyclone Football and basketball off ther satillite you don't have to put up with High School commentary.

Thank you very very much!!! Lobo will continue to sound off as needed, like it or not. Great game and love my cyclones but that was bad, no terrible commentary.
