I've seen the offensive numbers. Does anyone have information on what kind of defenses that Kelly has produced?

URB, what's your feel for Kelly?
I'm undecided, but I do know, he doesn't have any hawkeye stench to him.

That said, I was so ready for a change from DM that I was willing to take a shot on a coach like Kelly. This is not an exciting hire by any means, but perhaps he is the best man for the job. I was not on board with the McDermott hire but things seem to be going pretty well with it right now. I think the timeframe for production is going to be pretty tight. 4-5 years to get things right in FB or ISU will be in the hunt for a new coach again.

Does Coach G-Mac's hiring and recent succuess recruiting and players effort level, give the football coach a chance to get hired without a bunch of negative posts from us on the boards?
