I can't understand why people would not not be excited about Brian Kelly as our coach. He is a proven winner, period. How can people not be excited about that! No matter who our coach is Ames is a difficult place to attract top talent, you need a coach who has a system that is proven and has won consistently with that system. Brian Kelly is that coach.

I don't think anyone is disagreeing with anything you say. The reason for some of the negativity is due to the fact that 13 of those seasons have come at a Division II school that has had success in the past. Central Michigan has been his first and really only true test for turning programs around. He has succeeded thus far. Let's hope he can succeed in Ames.

I agree, I am really excited about Kelly! He's a winner and will not need the learning curve we could expect from coordinators stepping into their first head coaching position! Good job JP!
