Cael/Greg/Gene all better than our instate rivals?
while Gene hasn't proven anything yet; could it be that we have better coaches (opps forgot to include Finnley) at each of the four major sports than our counter part in IC?
Big things are happening in the Cyclone Nation, let's keep it that way for a while.... 5 years at least.... :)

Cael and Brands are virtual ties right now. Cael can recruit ANYONE but Brands might have the best coach in any sport ever as an assistant. But this is by far the best we have ever been.

It is hard to say that a guy who has never been head coach before is better than a coach who has taken his team to many new years day bowl games. I hope he is better but at this point he is not close. Ferentz is the highest paid coach for a reason. And we will have to wait on Sanderson. He is the better wrestler but who knows about coaching yet

- keep. No offense, but personally I don't care. I'm tired of using Iowa as a measuring stick to everything else.

IMHO, the tide could have very well just shifted to ISU in this state. McDermott is great. Cael is Cael Sanderson. Greatness personified.
And now this. I realize he hasn't coached a game yet, but damn... I'm not sure we all realize just how huge this is/could end up being.

Either way... there are lots of reasons to be exCYted about ISU athletics.

Greg has yet to prove anything in my eyes, either. Neither has Cael. Neither has Gene.
It does look promising, but we've had all sorts of promise in Cyclone land before, only to get kicked in the onions.
I agree, though, screw Iowa.

True and Valiant
I also remember a game with Kansas when Cy (wore a huge suit then) went out to center field, squatted, and "pooped" a couple of chickens that had been dyed blue then chased them around.
