Where now McCarney?
I'm sure Chizek is on top of everyone's mind. However I'm sure that CF clientel have got the talent to simultaneously handle this thread. What is McCarney up to now? Who is interested?

Re: Where now McCarney?
I would like to know where he goes. I wish him the best of luck.

Re: Where now McCarney?
Texas OC? North Carolina would be a great fit.
Looking forward to CFH magic for the next bball season, Georges style. -
Re: Where now McCarney?
He'll either be next head coach at Stanford or defensive coordinator at a lower-tier program.

Re: Where now McCarney?
Here is a hypothetical: What if Jamie does end up going to Wisky...how about Dan as AD?
Boom.....transfer the karma -
Re: Where now McCarney?
There are rumors over here in Iowa City that he'll come here as an assistant. I wouldn't wish that on anyone.....but a job is a job.

"What if Jamie does end up going to Wisky...?" Wash your fingers off with soap!! The ISU president needs to make the same argument to JP that JP made to Chizek. It might take a little time for the details of that to come out, but, there is clearly good reason to be here. I would be shocked if JP were to leave. (now)

Re: Where now McCarney?
Maybe Alabama, they're in need of a new coach now.
And Pollard is not leaving here for anywhere, at least not anytime soon. He just hired a new football coach, and is in the his first year with a new basketball and wrestling coaches. There is no way he would abandon that right away.

Re: Where now McCarney?
Would AZ St. take a chance on him? NC State? I wonder if these programs think he might be able to accomplish more elsewhere? Otherwise, even though he wants to be a HC, I wouldn't be surprised to see him as a DC somewhere (not necessarily lower tier though)

Re: Where now McCarney?
JP is not going back to Wisconsin. First Alvarez has to leave and I have a feeling that he's not going to Miami. If Alvarez does leave I still don't see Wisconsin wanting to take him back this quickly. He's made 3 bold moves in about 14 months time, that is a red flag to a lot of programs. Plus can JP possibly not have a guilty concious leaving so quickly with all the things he has just started?
I think A LOT would have to happen for JP to be leaving us this soon, I just don't see him leaving what he just started.

Re: Where now McCarney?
Yeah, i dont think he'd necessarily have to settle for being less than a HC somewhere, it just limits his choices a little more, I would imagine.

Re: Where now McCarney?
I think Mac will be a good coach somewhere else, but I think he would be a tough sell to fans as a HC at a BCS school. Look for him to be a Coordinator at a BCS school or HC at non-BCS for now. Best of Luck Mac.

I am not wishing him away, no way in Hell! I was just posting a hypothetical. Please, I want JP around forever no questions asked.
