I was a little disappointed in his "ball-toughness" and his finishes tonight. I expected a little bit more from him. We really needed a couple of those finishes during that late run. This is not a terrible loss.

Like I said from the other thread, I could see other players yelling at Jiri to get into position under the basket, and not hang around the perimeter.

Ugly play from Mike Taylor, too. He needs to slow his game down and not be so reckless with the ball. This is exactly what I hated about Stinson.

Good point AirWalke, Taylor reminds me of stinson so much, its like we have him again this year. While he does make nice plays and has scored a lot we could really benefit from him slowing down and not trying to do everything himself.

I am NOT suggesting that we drop Jiri from the program. We just need some things from him that he didn't give us tonight. As I look back at the game, I think Gray and Wesley played nice games but the rest of the team was a little iffy.

Juri's first game of the year (not counting exhibition) while everyone else has played 6 more games (except Taylor) in the new G-Mac system. I didn't expect too much from Juri tonight.

I thought he played ok though.

Jiri will be ok, but how about a fricking ball fake and a power dribble with a half hook? GMAC has to be upset with the low post play we have right now.

If you combined Taylor and Stinson's best qualities you'd have one helluva player. Stinson was tougher going to the hoop but Taylor is a MUCH better outside shooter than Stinson was.

Jiri had no toughness at all tonight. He needs to play closer to the hoop and all he did was chuck up jumpers all night long.

I didnt expect much from Jiri tonight, but at the same time I didn't expect him to shoot that much! And miss that much. Most were dumb shots. And can you not make a layup?

We really need to have an inside presence, we havnt had one since Homan. I think that Jiri and Marsden have the abilitity if they just can be more aggresive.

Neither take it strong enough to the basket. Everything is soft and they kind of fade away. I didnt mind seeing clark post up tonight. It is a mismatch with whoever is guarding him. he is lanky and jumps high enough to get good looks consistently inside 8 ft

This season is just going to depend on well we shoot on any given night. Because we are going to be hot, and then cold, tonight we were really cold.

Homan was a *****...and I loved it! It doesn't look like Jiri and Marsden have that type of personality. It is now Mac's job to find a role for them. I don't mind Jiri shooting from the arc but those 18' j's are usually a bail out shot. I honestly don't know what he can do with Marsden...he is so limited. Jiri is not a banger and it will be tough to make him into one. He is more of a Michalik type of player.

It's just so hard to watch a 6'10" waste his talent. It is obvious the guy could play the blocks and maybe drop an occasional 10 to 15 footer. But unfortunately after watching him all summer in the Capital City League there is nothing different about tonight then the rest of his play. He loves to hang at the top of the key and think he is a European shooting guard. I have never sworn at my television so much as he ****** away possession after possession. What I'm disappointed about is GMAC not chewing his ***!!!
