and nothing to gain. I don't like the fact that the winner of the Big 12 Championship will most likely face Boise State. If the team from the Big 12 wins, they were suppose to win. If the Big 12 team loses, the champion of our BCS conference just lost to a WAC team. Both Oklahoma and Nebraska should beat Boise State soundly, but I would rather face a team from another BCS conference. What do you guys think?

Right now, I'd just like to be playing one more football game this year. We're not...so I'm a bit sour on football.
Who knows what Boise State is capable of, they've defeated everyone on their schedule - that's about all you can ask for. I think next year and the years to come, they aught to try to get someone from one of the bigger conferences on their schedule to help their case in the post-season.
I'm interested to see how they'll do, as well as Rutgers should they defeat West Virginia.

Big schools looking at a National Championship wouldn't want to have that loss cost them a chance. Strength of schedule isn't really that big a factor at that level. Lesser schools need the wins to try and be bowl eligible. I'm sure Boise State would love to schedule a game or 2 with a bigger school. I bet they just can't find a taker.

Boise State needs to leave the State and play the big guys. Personally, I want them on our schedule. When we beat them and they have that good run... we look even better. But I also want to play MN each year too... along with SD schools.
- keep.

Simple logic would tell you that is true, but I've watched Boise play a few times this year and I've got to tell ya - I think they would give NU all they can handle. NU has put together several lackluster 2nd half performances. Boise can run the ball and can throw it all over the place. If they can jump out to a lead - NU could be in trouble. Personally, I'd love to see the game. Not that I want to see our conf. champion beaten by a WAC team, but the prospect of The Corn losing to Boise does have a certain appeal. All that jack...es that laughed at us after the BlueTurf Bowl would enjoy some series crow.

I'm not saying BSU should schedule USC, OSU, Texas, etc. They should get a team from one of those conferences on their schedule though.
Rutgers played Illinois, a bad Illinois team, but Rutgers didn't know that when they scheduled them. TCU managed to play a Big 12 school from the south both last year and this year - winning both games.

Boise's non-conference sked this year:
Sacremento State (DII?)
Oregon State (your BCS school)
Wyoming (MWC)
Utah (MWC)
So they played a BCS school (that was USC's only loss) and two of the better programs from the MWC, including a Utah team that was in the BCS just a couple years ago.
How can you possibly argue with that non-conference schedule?

How can you possibly argue with that non-conference schedule? Thank you! Wasn't aware they played Oregon State. That really aught to eliminate the pundits that believe Boise State doesn't belong in a BSC game against another BCS school.
Whoever gets BSU, I doubt it will be an easy game.

Yeah I know what ya mean about that blue/smurf turf! Every once in awhile I run the tape of that game. It was atrocious weather to play a football game yet alone sit in the stands.

So, how many fans do you think Miami will bring to Boise? 10? 20?
I'm sure the much-anticipated matchup with Nevada will have them heading north in droves.

Boizy St. did play at Georgia in 2005, although it didn't go well for them.
I was a big fan of the Utah team in '04 that went undefeated, I would have liked to see them play one of the title contenders that year instead of Pitt.

Boise is a GREAT team. They would give NU or OU stiff competition.
