I thought Brandtner was a really pleasant surprise this past season. I liked Blankenship and wasn't sure his role could be filled by the freshman. Brandtner probably saw more action than any of us would have thought but he performed admirably. He's going to have a good career with the Cyclones, especially if he can lower his kicking time a shade.

I must've missed that fake punt pass. When did that happen, and who kidnapped Cotton during that playcall decision?

It happened in the fourth quarter of the Texas game (I think they might have cut TV coverage prior to this). It was a 28-yarder to Kock, although it looked like Kock would be stopped well short of the first down line. In typical Kock style, he ran over two guys for the conversion.

Yeah, they claimed to be having "technical difficulties" so they couldn't show the 4th quarter.
