It was nice to hear the Pro-Hawk anouncers squirm as the Clones came back from 11-0 start. John Campbell tries to sound like he is being un-biased, but was cheering on every hawk basket.

Yeah, I noticed the huge bias as well. Another thing that ticks me off is the ridiculous local news coverage (live in eastern Iowa) after the game. There was barely any highlights on KWWL Channel 7 last night. Had Iowa won, there would've been 5 minutes of sunshine pumping and Hawk glorification! Gag.

It's always great to see Lisa Bludo lose. She takes herself way too seriously.

Re: Twister sisters over the Hawks

If anyone was at the game at Carver Hawkeye, could you please tell me how many fans were in attendance. The DM Register said Five Thousand and Change.

I find it hard to believe that only 5,000 fans showed up for the game. If you were there please let me know what you thought of the attendance.

Also it sure warms the heart to see Lisa Bluder lose in Carver Hawkeye to the Clone Women.

Way to go Women Roundballers and Thanks to Coach Fennelly!

Re: Twister sisters over the Hawks

I would say 4500-5000 is about right.

There were hundreds of Cyclones there though, maybe 600?

Hard to judge sometimes...

Chizik: "One thing that I’d encourage our fans…I want them to be the loudest stadium in the Big 12. I don’t care…I want Jack Trice stadium to be the loudest in the Big 12 and I think that creates homefield advantage.... I want to stress to everyone…I want this place to be juiced up. They bought 36,000 season tickets so there is a passion there…don’t hide it…let it out. I want there to be a passion in the stadium."

Re: Twister sisters over the Hawks

I was at the men's game against Iowa when the rather small-brained Hawk fan sitting behind me leaned forward and asked, "Hey, what's the difference between football, basketball, and wrestling?" I said I didn't know, and he replied "Nothing! We beat you in all three!"

I then pointed out that WE had beaten THEM in all three last year (I wasn't sure about the wrestling, but I was confident he wouldn't know one way or the other either) and his immediate response was, "Well, last year wasn't fair. We were cheated out of those wins."

I then reminded him that the Twister Sisters had come to Carver a a few days ago and absolutely sent the Hawkeyes packing, and he yells, "SO WHAT? It's women's f***ing basketball! Nobody f***ing cares! God, that's not even a SPORT!"

He then left to go get his third ice cream cone of the night, leaving me with a stunned expression on my face.

Typical Hawk fan.

I hate it when people say women's basketball sucks or that it's not a sport. I would say most people would be more impressed with our ladies' teamwork than with how our men's team has played over the past few years.

They say it because we beat them at it. Just like when we beat them in football, it's our Superbowl. Had they beat us, you konw they would have let us know about it.
