Finally got a chance to watch Mac's last show

I finally got my computer to work normal again, so I have been catching up on the Press Conference for GC and Mac's last TV show. Did anyone else get chills when they heard Pete Taylor's voice??? John Walters does a good job, but I miss Pete!

IMO, no comparison. I met Pete Taylor, listened to Pete Taylor, and believe me, John Walters is no Pete Taylor. Pete was one-of-a-kind. Told it like it was whether it was PC or not. A true fan's announcer...not a homer like Zipper-Lip Zabel, Eddie the Drunk Podolack, and Touchdown Iowa Touchdown Iowa Gary Dolphin (or however you spell his name). Oh yeah, the comparison was between Cyclone announcers, wasn't it? (couldn't resist ripping on the Hawks...force of habit). Sorry about that...

Yeah, I got chills when I heard Pete call those Cyclone blasts from the past. At times he was even better doing roundball. Nobody did it like Pete. Walters is ok, and may even develop his own memorable style over time, but for me Pete taylor is the face of ISU.

Blandboy, you must be listening to too much Squawkeye coverage!

I agree that Pete is hard to beat, but John Walters does well. At least we have our own Cyclone voice.
