The BCS debate: Ohio State vs....
The hottest 1 loss team (blown call aside) Oklahoma.
They've one 7 straight. Everyone (including voters) knows they got hosed at Oregon, now the geeks with the computer programs need to inform the computers they really won and to recompute.
another serious question:
Had Dan Hawkins stayed at Bosie State, would their preseason ranking have been higher, thus having a higher ranking at the end of the season because of zero losses. Question... Do that get in the title game?
Re: The BCS debate: Ohio State vs....
I think it's near impossible for a school from a non-BCS conference to make it into the championship game. The system is set up against them and too many things would have to line up to actually get to that position.
Kind of sucks for OU to wonder what might have been and have a no-win situation against Boise State to look forward to.
Re: The BCS debate: Ohio State vs....
Good point about Hawkins and Boise St but I doubt they could have made the Championship game. OU would difinitly be in the mix but their lose was to Texas and Texas lost to OSU and OSU beat Michigan by 3 so Michigan would prob still be in front of OU.
Re: The BCS debate: Ohio State vs....
True, OU should only have one loss. Except they have two and therefore don't belong in the mix. You can't say if they win that game they don't lose another one down the line.
I think it's gotta be Florida. Mich lost to OSU and didn't win their conf.
