Re: For those who don't think we'll ever be able to keep Chizik
You can have your opinion but the facts don't lie:

During Snyder's 17 year tenure as head coach K-State was 136-68-1. They went to 11 straight bowls and finished in the Top 10 5 times.
This is the first year with Prince as their coach and they finished 7-5.
These facts tell me that Snyder engineered a miraculous turnaround, and although it is early in the Prince era, they are at a far higher level post-Snyder than they were pre-Snyder.
The big knock was always the easy non-conference schedule and limited success in big games. Look around...nearly every BCS conference team schedules weak non-conference foes (including us...look at this years schedule). As for the success in big games...at least he had his teams in the big games.
When I was at ISU in the mid '80s I would never have imagined that K-State would compete regularly for and actually win conference championships in football...certainly not before ISU would do it. Yet they did it. Bill Snyder is the reason. I'm hoping Chizik can have the same type of success or better at ISU!
I cheer for two teams, Iowa State and whoever is playing the hawkeyes.
