    ISU nearing 10,000 season tickets for MBB - will honor the 10,000 ticket buyer

    Iowa State will honor the person purchasing the 10,000th men’s basketball season ticket during the Big 12 Conference home opener Jan. 10 against Nebraska.

    The person who purchases that ticket will sit courtside for the game and receive a Cyclone gift packet.

    A total of 9,947 season tickets were purchased by midday today, according to Cyclone officials who said that’s at least 1,000 more than last season’s total.

    Season tickets for the general public cost $99, $330 and $470. Iowa State has 11 home games remaining, starting Dec. 13 against Savannah State.

    Wow just about 10,000 sold what will the goal be for next year seeing the recruits we will be getting in the next 2 years?

    And to to think several people said we would lose any chances of getting good players to ISU if we let Wayne go.

    why not honor the first person to buy a ticket? I guess I don't see the sense in this. honor the achievment, yes...

    I'm with you Jon, about honoring the person that bought ticket number 10,000. That person has not even bought his/her ticket yet. While nearly 10,000 others bought tickets and have been at the games so far.

    I know why it's being done, to entice more sales. So I won't complain about it. Just a bit different is all.

    Yes the first should be honored. This is a marketing ploy, which I hope works, to get those on the edge to reach a goal.
    Jon, what is Iowa's season ticket total?

    Jon, what is Iowa's season ticket total?
    For the UNI game tonight - 1/3 was empty, 1/3 was UNI fans and less than 1/3 was Iowa students. Things appear a little sad at EIU for hoops.
