I would love to see the Red Sox reload that lineup and get back to the Series, hopefully he can stay healthy. Also, I really hope that pitcher from Japan works out to be a good one. GO SOX

I think this means that Manny is going to be traded... which would not help the red sox reload... Thats to bad, i love Manny's antics in Boston and him helping them beat the yankees.... Oh how I hate the Yankees!!!

I don't know, I am thinking (hoping) that it means they will trade Nixon. If indeed they do trade Manny then they had better make a killing.

Um Nixon is a free agent and won't be back. The thing about Drew is that he is so soft mentally that he is easily rattled and will end up getting eat'n alive by the Boston Media.

Will be interesting to see if they can actually trade Manny and get something decent in return. All the ESPN hot stove articles and rumors have said the Sox asking price has been high and no one wants to offer them fair value for Manny.

I still think the $51.1 mil just to talk to that pitcher is crazy and with Boras as his agent he's not coming cheap either. They want top level pitching money for a guy that has not pitched a MLB inning yet. If they sign him to a 5 year deal you can add another $10 mil a year to whatever they wind up giving him if you want to count the money they spent just to talk to him so is he really going to be worth over $20 mil a season total? I'd rather cough up the money for proven Zito or Schmidt than gamble on this kid for such a high price.
