Haluska
Who do you think will match up with Haluska tomorrow? It seems that offense is hard to come by for Iowa if he is bottled up. Teams can give Smith 20 pts. and that will still not be enough for Iowa to win if Haluska is limited.

Re: Haluska
My guess is that Clark and Wesley will take Smith and Haluska.

Re: Haluska
Haluska is definately the X-factor in the game. Could shoot 2 for 15 or 10 for 15. I think Wesley was guarding Korver for Drake most of the time Sunday so he might be the guy on Haluska.

Re: Haluska
I feel bad for Adam. His college career is a joke. He is a coach killer. He has no leadership ability. He has great skills that have never been utilized.
Nobody but HB knows for sure. You pretty much know nothing....like Knownothing would like to say.

Re: Haluska
During the UNI game, the wise sage Mac McCausland kept talking about how much of a leader he is becoming. I'm supposed to believe you over such an impartial basketball observer such as him?? (**sarcasm**)

Re: Haluska
Rashon has been playing great defense. I'd put Rason on Haluska and W. Johnson on Smith. Those two are athletic enough to keep Haluska and Smith in check. ISU wins!

Didn't he get caught helping himself to some store items?

Didn't he get caught helping himself to some store items? I caught that, too. He then tried to act like he meant Smith was great "on the court". He is such a doofus. I remember when I was a kid watching an Iowa game years ago, and one of his "Keys to Victory" was "Outscore the _______" (don't remember which team they were playing). I about wet myself with laughter.

Re: Haluska
When we played UNI MacClausen made the remark "Now this is a good match up", when we had 4 non-starters out there late in the 1st half to UNI's 4 starters and one sub. .... it came across to me that he was happy of the mis-match presented to ISU.
He is a UofI homer... and loves to root against ISU. Mac=Tool

Rahshon's ball on ball may be the worst on the team. Him or Corey Johnson. Off the ball Rahshon is pretty solid. He may be able to get through those screens with Haluska but I see Haluska blowing by him a lot. Rahshon just doesn't move his feet very well. If you throw in tape from any game and watch him, it is enough to want to pull your hair out

Re: Haluska
The thing about Haluska is that he isn't all that good at driving to the basket. He mainly gets his shots by running around and bouncing off screens. If we put Clark on him, he wouldn't be able to get a shot off.

Re: Haluska
I'd say throw McIntosh on him and let him hound him all night. If Haluska had a brain and would play with some humility he would take him down the the post and have his way with him, but he doesn't and he wouldn't. We might as well put our best guard defender on him and let him get in his head by getting in his grill. He would be able to shoot over him sure, but he should be able to shoot over any of our guards if they play good defense and don't leave their feet.

That would be assuming he gets quality coaching, though.
