Paul is a good writer... the Register should pick him up for a little Cyclone flavor! The article very tactfully discusses race in basketball among other things.
Also, there is a live chat with him that I missed (3pm today). You have to be and insider (I'm not) to see most of the chat transcript.
Forever trying to find a cure for the Dunning-Kruger Effect.
I just finished reading this as Paul is one of my myspace friends. I'm a fan of his writing, just not a fan of him bashing ISU (or midwestern) girls*. Because, come on Paul--you were a Sprite drinking dork that sat in the corner of the bars in Ames.
*he does not do this in the article mentioned above.
I heart Paul Shirley. Marsden kinda reminds me of him looks-wise, maybe one day he'll learn to be a nasty-*** bony rebounding mofo like Paul.
Paul averaged 6.9 rebounds/game his senior year. That is a debatable average to be considered "rebounding mofo" as you put it, but I'd like to have someone average that on this year's team. I always thought someone 6-10 like Shirley should have averaged more. Homan averaged 8.7/game, but of course was much more physical. Also, the page I got Homan's stat from said he wore a size 16 shoe...too much info for me.

I would like to see that page? Do you have a link? I would love to know more about Homan.
Yeah, Homan grew up on a dairy farm in SW Iowa. His freshman year when he was ejected for coming off the bench when the fat kid from Colorado threatened Eustachy. Eustachy said Homan came off the bench like someone had stolen his cow. lol. One of the better LE quotes.
