CSI killer from Ames, IA

I don't know if anyone was watching CSI tonight at 8:00, but the killer was born in Ames. That is pretty crazy stuff I thought.

The miniture killer confesses on web cam. Introduces himself as Ernie Ball(?) I think, and says he is from Ames, IA.

Theres is National exposure for you.

Did anyone else here this?

The neat thing is, I thinkit was last season they had a victum on there with the exact same name as a girl I know and it is not a common last name at all.

They had a victum on last season with the exact name of a girl I know. Not a common last name either. Of course no middle name was give, but still.

Dahmer lived for a time in the old university village just off of Campus. That entire area has since been destroyed and buildt over.

Speaking of shows mentioning Ames...anyone a West Wing fan?

There was a writer or producer that spent time in Ames and loved it so there are 6 or 7 Ames, IA mentions throughout the series.

I'm glad he didn't confess he was an "Industrial Technologies Major from Iowa State"! I thought his last name was Biel, as in Jessica...

Anyway, it would have been nice if he'd tied everthing together in his webcast admission statement! Like, what was the purpose of constructing murder scene mini's, and how did he know what the inside of Danny Partridge's house looked like?!? I thought, given the season-long buildup for the confrontation, that it was rather anti-climatic...

That's news to me! When we were moving back to Iowa, we looked at an old home in Lisbon with the thoughts of restoring it. The owner told us that Ted Kaczynski, the Unibomber, had lived in it for a short time as a child.

Any other serial killer connections to our state?
