Anyone else going to Iowa City tonight?
As much as I cant stand IC or Hawkeye fans in genera, my wife and I are being brave and venturing over to the Dark Side to watch the game. We are in row 23, not sure what section though. Ill be sporting my custom HWKIH8R tshirt. Itll be interesting to see how many Hawk fans aren't there.
Anyone know a good place to park for Carver? i havent been there since childhood.

Re: Anyone else going to Iowa City tonight?
I've always parked in that large lot just northwest of Carver and straight north of Kinnick. If you come in from Corralville and turn towards Carver you'll go right to it.

Re: Anyone else going to Iowa City tonight?
I will be there . It will be an interesting game. I believe we are in Section F, row 40-something. I have a feeling there will be a lot of cyclone fans.

Re: Anyone else going to Iowa City tonight?
*raises hand. Myself and 11 others will be there (at least 2 of those are Hawk fans though.)

Re: Anyone else going to Iowa City tonight?
Mentioned in another post that I ran across tickets for section F, row 29. Glad to see some back-up is going to be there as well. :)

Eh, the other 2 is a couple that are good friends of ours so I won't act like they are non-existant tonight. For Hawk fans they aren't obnoxious and stupid and can actually watch a game with them without wanting to rip their vocal cords out like some of my other friends can be. Plus we needed someone famaliar with the IC bars to lead us around tonight too. -

I live in IC and it's a wonderful town; local hawk fans aren't nearly as obnoxious as the remote variety in central Iowa! I guess they feel they're missionaries for the cause, spreading the good word to the non-believers! <dunno> The adult locals are generally nice folks and not too interested in basketball anyway, given the shenanigans Alford has pulled over the years...
Anyway, my family will be at the game this evening; Section A, Row 40; probably the only Cyclone fans at half-court though we're two rows from the top! Thanks Coca-Cola, via my good friend the convenience store owner!
Cheer loudly and let's see if we can't get one on the road! Go Cyclones!

Re: Anyone else going to Iowa City tonight?
iccyfan, they are the same way in Lincoln. The fans there in town are extremely nice and don't act as conceited as the remote fans. Especially the idiots who never came from Nebraska or have any other ties other than picking a team that they liked to follow in the 90's or earlier as they were winning on TV. But I have to say that my experiences in Iowa City would debate anything hospitable toward any Cardinal and Gold. I will never attend another football game in that city again after this year with all that I ran into.

Well, there'll be at least one more Clone at 1/2 court. I'll be 3rd row thanks to a buddy of mine that's a big Hawk fan/previous Iowa FB player. Only requirement from him was that I didn't wear any ISU gear... Yea right!
Go Clones!

I will never attend another football game in that city again after this year with all that I ran into. I've had mixed experiences in IC. Some Hawk fans my roommate and I met in a bar during the FB game this year were very pleasant despite the fact that my roommate and I were both drunk and screaming. We had lots of good football discussion. Conversely, I've also encountered the spilling-beer, spitting-loogies-on-your-car, shouting-in-your-face types, too. I've had beer poured on my car just because I had an ISU sticker on my windshield. I suppose it could always be worse, but...CAN'T WE ALL JUST GET ALONG?

My girlfriend is wearing an Iowa t-shirt just to offset my ISU gear tonight. I probably should refrain from telling people I'm originally from Iowa City, too.

Re: Anyone else going to Iowa City tonight?
Section HH(I think), Row 16
Should be able to see us for free throws, look for two guys in wigs to the right of the board (from the shooter's POV), all you CycloneFanAddicts!
We're off!

I'm hanging out with the over-40 crowd these days....
